SLV Teen Prevention Coalition
The SLV Teen Prevention Coalition (SLVTPC) is a youth led program that is committed to preventing substance misuse among teens and all youth. The SLVTPC works alongside caring adults from partner organizations to help guide and support youth to implement strategies to prevent and reduce youth substance use in the San Luis Valley.
The program provides leadership skills, career development, and an educational stipend upon the completion of 75 hours. We believe youth deserve a voice in the development of community solutions to the complex issues they are facing. By centering on and elevating youth voices, we will be successful in preventing and reducing youth substance use across the San Luis Valley and beyond.

When you’re part of our program you’ll do really awesome work like attending community events to educate valley youth and their families about the dangers of youth substance use, present to groups of youth and adults, provide resources, and learn useful life skills.

This opportunity can count as community service for graduation requirements and be used on college/scholarship applications. You’ll network with amazing and caring adults that are committed to working alongside youth to see them succeed.
